A few weeks ago, I discovered the OnLive project, that offers games pay per play, like pay per view. No installation needed, games as a service. I showed this discovery off on the girl_gamers community and there reactions were negative. Most of the members of the community prefer to see games as products that they can buy and keep on their shelf. Something tangible that cannot be taken away from them again.

Innovation is great, but keep an eye on what the consumer wants. Most gamers are not ready for games as services. They want things they can buy and keep forever.
