very interesting read. I definitely think that spending time on quality is worth while. When it comes to games, I buy nothing but quality games, and this means that I go by word of mouth, what I see, what I read, there's a lot of factors. If a company has a good record, I generally buy most of their games. Companies like EA have trashed that record, they release gems, they release crap, it's a mix. Due to this, I have to look at each game very closely. However, companies like Ubisoft rarely let fans down, as well as Vault. These companies set a quality level, and live by it game to game. They now have a reputation, and it sells there games. If they release a few crap games in the mix, they'll lose sales, even on future games that are of great quality, due to people being skeptical of the overall brand quality.

I run a flash game site specializing in <a href="http://princeporter.com rel="nofollow">quality games, I believe that the brand and idea of having only quality games, and not thousands of random games, 99% bad, is what will eventually make me stand out. I don't see as much revenue as others right now, but I'm willing to bet that in a year or two, I'll have a steady stream of returning traffic, something many sites with thousands of average to below games can't do, without buying their traffic at least.

Overall, very interesting read. It definitely jumps on many thoughts I've had lately with game quality, and the industry as a whole, thanks for sharing.
